Revealed in the late Makkan period, Surah Sad focuses on the struggle between truth and falsehood, comforting the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) against the stubborn rejection of the Quraysh. It highlights the stories of David and Solomon, showcasing how they remained humble, repentant servants of God despite their extraordinary worldly power. The chapter also details the severe trials and illness of Prophet Job (Ayyub) and his beautiful patience, demonstrating that relief always follows devotion. It concludes with the cosmic narrative of the creation of Adam and the expulsion of Iblis (Satan) due to his pride, warning humanity that arrogance is the root of all deviation.

Revealed when Meccan tribal chieftains approached Abu Talib on his deathbed, demanding a truce where the Prophet ﷺ would stop criticizing their stone idols. The chieftains clapped their hands in astonishment, exclaiming: 'Has he turned all our hundreds of gods into one single God?!'

Many partners take advantage of one another, except those who believe and do good deeds, but these are so few.” David realized that We were testing him, so he sought forgiveness from his Lord, and fell down to his knees, and repented
Recalls a judicial trial presented to Prophet David (Dawud): two disputants scaled the sanctuary wall, presenting a case where a wealthy owner of ninety-nine ewes pressured a poor brother into surrendering his sole remaining ewe. David ruled that this was an injustice, then realized this case carried a personal spiritual reflection for himself and fell down in prostration seeking God's forgiveness.
