Revealed in Madinan, Surah At-Talaq (The Divorce) provides detailed legislative guidelines on the process of divorce, focusing heavily on the waiting period (Iddah) for women and their maintenance. It constantly reminds the believers of the necessity of consciousness of God (Taqwa), promising that whoever fears God will be granted a way out and provided for from sources they could never imagine.

Translation
O Prophet! If any of you divorce women, divorce them during their period of purity, and calculate their term. And be pious before God, your Lord. And do not evict them from their homes, nor shall they leave, unless they have committed a proven adultery. These are the limits of God—whoever oversteps God’s limits has wronged his own soul. You never know; God may afterwards bring about a new situation
Revealed when Abdullah ibn Umar divorced his wife during her menstrual cycle. The Prophet ﷺ ordered him to take her back until she was pure, establishing the divine law that divorce proceedings may only be initiated during a period of purity in which marital intimacy has not occurred, ensuring cooling-off periods for reconciliation.

Translation
Once they have reached their term, either retain them honorably, or separate from them honorably. And call to witness two just people from among you, and give upright testimony for God. By that is exhorted whoever believes in God and the Last Day. And whoever fears God—He will make a way out for him
The foundational promise of divine deliverance: addresses spouses facing the financial and emotional stress of marital breakdown, promising that whoever maintains God-consciousness ('Taqwa') and ethical restraint will be granted an unexpected way out ('Makhraj') of their distress.

Guarantees unexpected divine sustenance: assures that God will provide for the righteous from resources they never could have anticipated ('Min haythu la yahtasib'), affirming that placing complete trust in God ('Tawakkul') is wholly sufficient for one's needs.

Translation
As for those of your women who have reached menopause, if you have any doubts, their term shall be three months—and also for those who have not yet menstruated. As for those who are pregnant, their term shall be until they have delivered. Whoever fears God—He will make things easy for him
Delineates waiting periods ('Iddah') for specific cases: three lunar months for women who have reached menopause or have non-standard cycles, while for pregnant women, the waiting period concludes immediately upon giving birth.

Translation
Allow them to reside where you reside, according to your means, and do not harass them in order to make things difficult for them. If they are pregnant, spend on them until they give birth. And if they nurse your infant, give them their payment. And conduct your relation in amity. But if you disagree, then let another woman nurse him
Guarantees housing, alimony, and child welfare: husbands must provide comfortable lodging within their means during the waiting period without harassment, provide full living expenses for pregnant former wives, and fairly compensate mothers for nursing infants.

The wealthy shall spend according to his means; and he whose resources are restricted shall spend according to what God has given him. God never burdens a soul beyond what He has given it. God will bring ease after hardship
Establishes financial realism in family maintenance: obligates wealthier men to spend generously according to their wealth, while accommodating men with limited means according to their capacity, concluding with the uplifting promise: 'Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease.'
